I’ve seen so many people say you never get jobs from indeed. I’m trying to find a job as I’m a student and literally cannot afford to live, but every job has 400+ applicants and my application is never even viewed. My question is do people actually get jobs from indeed? If no, where do you actually find these jobs? I’m in the UK, my uni jobs support thing is useless, I just don’t see. Indeed is just littered with sketchy companies and little to no reviews. LinkedIn on the other hand has reputable jobs but you’ll have to suffer looking at the ass licking employees do for companies and people they don’t know just to look like “that exceptional employee”. Browsing sites like Indeed seems so boring and discouraging because 1) I don't know what I want to do now. and 2) There are thousands of many bullshit postings and hundreds of other generic users applying to the same dinky jobs. The only things I have seen that are interesting to me are jobs posted directly on some companys' direct websites. In my past experiences of applying for jobs, I've noticed that companies will post on Indeed, but will also have a direct application on their website. Make sure you visit the company's website every single time before you apply directly through indeed. It is not just a meaningless phrase: it is offensive and dismissive. Semantics are about meaning, and meaning is without question the single most important thing in any communication. If meaning has no meaning, than people are just making random noises. So semantics is not a matter of no import as they would have you believe, but indeed the one single matter that is of undeniably paramount. I constantly hear the expression "Thank you very much indeed" in the BBC, both TV and radio. However, I never listen to it on day-to-day conversation, either formal or informal. Moreover. Hey y’all! My girlfriend and I, and other friends have all been suckered into these sketchy interviews where you apply for a marketing or business development job and very quickly get an offer to come interview usually via text, which is sketchy by itself. I tried Flexjobs years ago, and was considering the 14-day trial again because of so many scams on both Indeed and LinkedIn. I don't apply directly through those sites. That was two days ago, and Indeed has already let me know that my application has been viewed by the hiring firm (whatever that means). Today Indeed sent me a prompt to Message the employer directly.
