This application report presents an introduction to the CAN fundamentals, operating principles, and the implementation of a basic CAN bus with TI's CAN transceivers and DSPs. The CAN Interface module provides CAN communication abstracted access to the CAN Driver and CAN Transceiver Driver services for control and supervision of the CAN network. The AUTOSAR CAN Network Management is a hardware independent protocol that can only be used on CAN 1 (for limitations refer to section 4.1).
