I just left the ups store around 30 mins ago and i sent out a very important package, i was provided with a tracking number but so far the tracking number is not working. How long does it take for the package tracking to be updated? Why wouldnt the UPS tracking page show that but Amazons does. Apparently they are both in transit but one refunded before the other and of course Amazon does not know as to why. Tracking a package after 120 days. I need to track a package that is past the 120 day mark, UPS.com just says UPS could not locate the shipment details for this tracking number. Details are only available for shipments made within the last 120 days. Please verify your information. Odd, because I just checked a fedex package from over a year. It’s also UPS Ground as well. I really don’t think it takes this long for UPS ground. Amazon says delivery is June 8th-June 10th and today is the 10th of-course but the tracking says otherwise. It doesn’t say anything actually. Is it possible that the package missed every single scan? No right? Also no it wasn’t backordered or anything. Sometimes a train (not owned by ups) runs over weekends so the package is moving but then it might arrive and sit a day because the facility has time on it because it moved during non-biz days. If it hasn’t been handed off to UPS yet, how could they accurately estimate? 90% of these come down to the shipper printing the label/tracking and not physically shipping the box yet. That allows them to mark it as shipped to hit their metrics, without doing the work of shipping yet. Add a couple days for them to pull and pack and then UPS. Had a similar issue - dropped off an Amazon return at UPS Store, they scanned my QR code & gave me a paper receipt. After more than a week, the UPS tracking status of the package never changed from Awaiting Shipment to UPS. My USPS tracking number says that the package is still in pre-shipment. The last notification I received was on june 8 from UPS stating that the package has arrived at the local post office. I'm assuming due to COVID and the extreme bulk of packages in the mail, everything is delayed. I was shipping (2) different packages to the same place, but accidentally printed out the same label for both packages. These were pre-paid labels….
