In this review, we will critically analyse the knowledge accumulated and advances about CMBs and will focus our discussion on the nature of these MRI- defined lesions, their potential role as diag-nostic and prognostic markers, and when and how CMBs should influence our management. These findings supported the diagnosis of germinal center type diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Cardiac tamponade is a rare initial clinical manifesta-tion of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. This non-Hodgkin lymphoma is more frequently described in patients with HIV presenting with lymphadenopathy and/or multi-organ involvement. We postulate that having ruled out the above mentioned possibilities, HIV associated vasculopathy (HAV) may be the most likely cause of such multiple intracranial bleeds in patients with retroviral disease. To the best of our knowledge, it has been rarely reported in the past. Case Description: We present the case of a 53-year-old male rapidly deteriorating following a history of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Upon admission, a computed tomography scan revealed bilateral acute on chronic hematomas, necessitating a lifesaving craniotomy. Discussion We present a very rare case of an HIV-infected patient with exclusively hemorrhagic brain lesions as a mani-festation of cerebral toxoplasmosis. Imaging studies, either CT or MRI, are key for the diagnosis of cerebral toxoplasmosis, with the latter being more sensitive than the former.
